Guess who won the Buick Invitational?

As Mr. Echelon likes to say, “Running segment alert.” I am going to track Tiger this golf season not because I think many of you will gain an appreciation for the game of golf, but because I’m hoping that some of you gain an appreciation for why Tiger is probably the world’s most dominant athlete.
Tiger won his fourth straight Buick Open last Sunday by eight strokes. Winning by eight strokes in golf is the equivalent to winning by forty in the NBA. It is beyond a blowout. This means that for every nine holes that Tiger played, he was one stroke better than anyone else in the field.

Afterwards, Tiger was predictably critical of his game, and stated, “I still have holes in my game that I need to fix and need to improve on. I just think that what I’ve been working on, I’m headed in the right direction.”
There is a TV commercial where there are actually dual Woods’ featured. One Tiger berating the other Tiger on all the flaws in his game. Finally, the other Tiger says, “yeah but we won,” to which the first Tiger states, “I know, that’s why I’m taking it easy on you.” As incredulous as it sounds, it appears that this commercial is actually fairly on point as to how Tiger really feels about his game. In his last six starts he has won five times and finished second the other time. Headed in the right direction indeed.

I love running segments.
Yeah, that pac-10 picks didn’t get tedious.
That was a sweet commercial. Nice little article.
fortunately for me Tiger doesn’t play on the PGA every week. Not nearly as much work as the football picks.
Don’t give ‘em anything reliable, right hotdog? Once every month or two ought to cut it. We should add a tag that says, “Holy shit! The guy that this site is named for actually wrote something!”
