Poor Guy…. Can’t catch a break

I was riveted listening to the Roger Clemen’s testimony the other day.  The one thing that kept running through my mind was:  Think how hard this guy had to train to keep up with those around him.  Since Clemens himself never did steriods or HGH, it is absurd how tough it would be for him to stay on top of his training regime.  Here’s a guy, just trying to make and honest buck, and all the while his trainer is slangin’ steriods all over the place, his best friend and training partner is on HGH, and his wife is on HGH.  How’s a guy to cope with all that?  Imagine how tough it must be to know that you have the least testosterone of anyone in your family, including your wife?  Plus, you’ve gotta go to work and deal with a training partner who’s all fueled up on HGH and emotionally out of control (just look at Petitte…. he’s obviously got a short fuse).  Makes you feel for the guy.  Especially a guy like Clemens who has always conducted himself like a true professional.

I, for one, am thoroughly amazed that Mr. Clemens was able to navigate his way through that minefield of dishonesty and emerge on the other side unscathed.  Congratulations Sir.  I will take up your fight and ensure that your honest and pure accomplishments are not misremembered, in this lifetime or the next.
