And we’re playing on Thanksgiving!  Wheee!  That goes a long way to make up for the week 4 bye week (that = balls on our faces, especially for a team with some, um, old pieces) and no MNF showing.

Games I don’t like: opening at Buffalo, two road games in Florida, at the Jints.

Games I like: Jets at home, being a member of the NFC West (lulz), Thanksgiving wheeeeeeee! 

I remember being a young’n and seeing the Hawks play the Cowboys on Thanksgiving in 1986.  We beat them 31-14, and that is probably my earliest Hawk-related memory.  Now I’m all growns up and ready to relive that memory in a more gluttonous, bourbon-soaked Thanksgiving fashion. 

Seriously.  Complete shit-eating grin right now.  Thanksgiving!

    I’d much rather a couple of Sunday nighters plus Turkey day rather than MNF. Plus we’ve been rocking that early bye for years. I think it works for an old team. Puts the focus on the first three games to get out of the gate.

    Agree on the @ Buffalo action, but recently we’ve been lucky with getting decent teams just before they learn how to win.

    MNF is unfortunately dying on cable. Watch Fox grab it at a bargain in a couple years.
