Sager Bombs

I ain’t too proud to beg ya’all

So, um… listen.  I know this hasn’t been exactly the ideal start of the season, and I know you’re counting down the days to trade away more prospects for Griffey, Jr., but can I possibly suggest an alternative?

Hotdog

Is it too late to go back to the way it used to be? I know the Sonics didn’t win a ton with Rashard and Ray but we were fun to watch. Add in a few more players who specialized in running and scoring (The Rad Man, Flip Murray, Bones Barry, and dare I say the greatest Sonic shooting guard of all-time Richie Frahm) and that was an entertaining team.

It’s not too late to dump this defensive-focus nonsense and start running again:

Fig Jam

Roger Clemens issued an apology… of sorts…. concerning the numerous alleged affairs involving various women, that have arisen in the past week or so.  Shortly after the statement was released, the Rocket suffered a breakdown and fell over.  Medical staff attended to Clemens and almost immediately the decision was made to euthanize him.  One attending physician stated, “He just didn’t have a leg to stand on anymore.  It would have been inhumane to let him carry on like that.”

Meth + College Football = Chuckles

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Someone has taken those amazing and disturbing anti-drug ads from the Montana Meth Project and turned them into college football masterpieces. This one hits home especially:

Jerramy Stevens Rapes People?

In his defense, I believe Jerramy Stevens raped a girl in the dirt next to a frat house, not some warm, well-lit bathroom that sees occasional cleaning.

Here is the original ad:

Iron Man = not real

Monday, May 5th, 2008

You know those people who go to an action movie and point out how unrealistic certain parts were? I am one of those people.

So after watching the motion picture “Iron Man” I feel there were several moments that struck me as completely implausible. When he first tries out the jet boots, for example - clearly that would have resulted in serious injury/death. He shears off the wing of a fighter jet with his body and somehow avoids internal injury.

In fact, when adding all of these incidents together, I feel confident that this Iron Man is a wholly fictional movie.

Please post your thoughts on the Jon Favreau-directed Iron Man below, which features a red-haired Gwyneth Paltrow (totally changes the game).
