A Case Of The Tuesdays

Sager Bombs

That’s Durant, in a fake OKC jersey

Well hasn’t it just been a great day?  Have you seen they’ve been making mock jerseys and having a “name the team” tournament over at the Oklahoma Paper?  Isn’t that fun?

Did you hear about Lofa Tatupu’s DUI?  Does it make it better knowing he was driving a 2006 Hyundai?  No?  How about he just tried to pull into a McDonalds with his boys?  Stars… They’re Just Like Us!  Still not ok?

Oh, and as we speak, the Mariners are losing again.  McClaren has put Miguel Freakin Cairo (season batting average: .125) in the 2 spot in the batting order.  Decadent managerial choice, or merely shrewd?  He’s already 0-2 tonight.  That’s not hitting the reset button, Fig Jam, that’s throwing the remote control at the television and ripping up your copy of Nintendo Power before you go back upstairs and cry.  Um, not that I ever did that.

Ugh.  This is why they have waiting periods to purchase guns.

yeah, and he just failed to score on a double – a double over the head of the center fielder, that made it to the wall in the longest part of the ballpark. what a tub of shit.

when you look at the entire body of work, there’s no way you can justify keeping bavasi. everybody signs one or two worthless veteran, but come on…

Sooners, (Robber) Barons…If nothing else, at least the Oklahomans are consistent in their love for naming their teams after thieves. Quite the fitting name.

Duuuude, Cairo is a glue guy in the clubhouse. He is a true mentor to Jose Lopez. Just look at the progress!

Jose Lopez 2007: 146 games, 8 errors (AND a dead brother, no less)
    Jose Lopez 2008: 39 games, 4 errors

    Thanks for the tutelage, Miggy!

If the Supes leave, who will Seattle root for in the next 5 years? The M’s suck and have sucked since 2001, the Hawks are on the decline (and don’t tell me Ju-Jo is a good back- he’s not), the Dawg’s football and hoops team are a crap shoot with 2009-10 being the soonest we can be optomistic, the Sounders don’t even have a roster yet, and the Storm…

…times gonna be tough ’round here…

H, the Supes won 4 games this year, is the thing. Sure, Durant’s going to be good, but they will suck as a team for some time. I wouldn’t exactly say we’re losing the crown jewel of Seattle sports.

The money’s on UW women’s basketball to take the cake this next year, led by Kristi Kingma. http://gohuskies.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/kingma_kristi00.html

At least you’ll have something nice to look at.

Joey Jo Jo, I know the Supes suck, but I feel like of the major sports in Seattle, they are the ones whose stock is going up the fastest. I’m partial however.

So, “The H”, in what round are you… I mean in what round is Kovis going to draft JuJo?
