Indiana Basketball Announcement: 2 on 2 no longer possible

Fig Jam

So Tom Crean dismissed another Indiana Basketball player today.  That leaves 3 remaining players from a team that at one point was ranked and looked like a Elite 8 candidate.  Wow.   What the hell do they do for practice?  Play 21?  Tips?  At least they can still run the 3 man weave drill… once.  Then they can run it back the other way I suppose.

Tom Crean is going to get some latitude next season, but seriously, this team is going to get pummeled.  Crean just signed a 7 footer who averaged 4 points in high school last season.  4 points.  “Welcome to Indiana, you’re the starting center (not kidding).  Do you think you could say, quadruple your point production from last season.  I know it was 4A High School and this is the Big Ten, but that’s what I need from ya.  Thanks.”

In the fairly competitive world of Fraternity and Sorority Philanthropy basketball tournaments, there are going to be a couple of Fraternity Basketball teams at Indiana next year that could actually give the Varsity team a run for their money.  From a depth standpoint if nothing else.  I can just see Crean pacing up and down the sidelines of a Bloomington high school as “DChi’s 1″ pushes his team to the limit, while one of his assistants is over scouting “SigEps 2 v. Lambda’s 1″ in case “The Indiana Basketball Team (yeah that one)” prevails against DChi’s and moves on to the Semi-finals of the Kappa Delta Shootout.

Did you hear about the two cell phone towers that got married? The ceremony was nothing special, but the reception was excellent!
