We want a Redo….

Fig Jam

So it looks like Howard Shultz is the Sonics last hope. This should not make anyone feel good.  Shultz’s lawsuit asks for the Court to literally transfer ownership of the Sonics back to local ownership, nullifying the original contract.  Right.  That’s going to happen.

I see the court unravel complex multi-million dollar transactions involving multiple parties and heated political issues all the time.

In unrelated news, the Man-a-hat-a Native American tribe filed suit to nullify the deal in which they sold the Island of Manhatten for $24 dollars worth of “Trinkets.”  The core argument being that “trinkets” are not fair value for, you know, billions and billions of dollars worth of real estate.

Shortly thereafter, the relatives of Francois Barbe-Marbois filed suit on behalf of France, arguing that the $23,213,568 received for 828,00 square miles of prime real estate (or $28 per square mile, less than $.03 an acre), which doubled the size of the United States, was “une affaire terrible.”

No word on the outcome of those lawsuits…. but I’d say the likelihood of success for all three is about the same.
