Ahman Green’s New Contract Makes Him Fantasy Viable

Honest.

Last week, the oft-injured Green agreed to restructure his contract. He sacrificed $2 million in guaranteed salary for the opportunity to earn $200k/game for simply playing. Therefore, he needs to play in only 10 games to break even, while playing the full slate will earn him an extra $1 million (this bonus doesn’t kick in until week 2).

Now here’s the catch. He’ll obviously be motivated to perform on the field, because teams love to Siegel their players out of performance-based incentives. If he’s not getting it done on the field, the team may sit him down with an injury he could probably play with late in the season. It’s up to him to take that option out of the team’s hand with some excellent running.

You won’t find a happier man on each game day than Ahman Green. I believe his numbers will bear that out, making him fantasy relevant again. He’s still available in 55% of Yahoo! leagues, so I’d take a chance on him if you’re looking for RB depth.

What does Siegel mean? As in Joel Siegel the film critic?

So it’s like saying, “Sometimes frat dudes will Hot Dog on top of a clogged toilet, thus compounding the existing problem.”

This is NOT the proper forum for this campaign of disinformation. I’m very disappointed in you.

Did you hear about the two cell phone towers that got married? The ceremony was nothing special, but the reception was excellent!
