Sarah Palin attempts to win over Philly crowd. Fails.
The powers that be did their best to cover this up with a vaguely patriotic fanfare, but to no avail. Who in her campaign told her that appearing before a Philly crowd was a safe play? Who? Who is running this? These people boo everything! Even when they don’t have a reason.
She might have had better luck at the Apollo, which you could also read as “Bad decision”.
This quote from the Philly Inquirer made me laugh.
Outside Broad Street, waiting for Palin to leave, one man was heard saying, “Let’s stone her, old school.”
And no I don’t support stoning her. It just made me laugh. Get off my back.

Why send a fairly unpopular politician to a Philly sports game? They booed Santa, for god’s sakes, and he has more foreign policy experience than she does (he can see Russia AND Greenland from his house).

I wonder if Obama has ever been to a Hockey game.

Brothers don’t do hockey. Except for Jerome Iginla and Grant Fuhr.

Man, you can’t leave out Willie O’Ree. The Jackie Robinson of hockey. Watched him play against the Seattle Totems for a dozen or so years (circa 1962-1974).

Interesting that as I type this, there is a McCain/Palin advertisement right below. Contextual advertising! Who does the media planning for these yayhoos?

excellent use of McCain’s resources - advertising on our blog.

Don’t forget that Philly fans also booed when Michael Irvin suffered a potentially paralyzing neck injury. Nothing like a well run campaign that puts candidates in the best possible position to be successful!

Check what I wrote above, I meant that Philly fans CHEERED when Michael Irvin suffered a potentially paralyzing and what turned out to be a a career ending neck inury.

“My (Hotdog and) Friends…. this blog advertising campaign is what America needs right now. The fundamentals of our economy are rooted in blogging and internet porn. Only by returning to our roots can we move forward.”

Grant Fuhr is black? Don’t you mean Anson Carter (aka Rasheen Mathis)?

philly.com reported that she was booed at her republican party fundraiser after the game as well. that was after she said she was rooting for the rangers.
