"Venables, now 65, has recently been linked in the media with the Republic of Ireland, Leicester City, Bulgaria, Iran, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur managerial jobs."

No mention of us. Wait, you mean you weren't talking about Terry Venables?

The O-Coordinator debacle didn't help, but if Auburn has this season any year that Bama isn't #1 in the BCS Tuberville probably gets another year. Horrible timing on his part.

The fortunate thing for us is that (and I'm suspending all belief here) if Leach is really interested in UW, Auburn can't be all that tempting. It's SEC small town, high pressure, not the biggest school in the state, and people will want immediate results.

We are the anti-Auburn.

Tuberville's debacle with his offensive coordinator and the spread offense was a classically botched scenario and was a mark of incompetent leadership. I would have fired him for that too.

He fired the guy midseason after the guy yelled at his assistants (who Tuberville would not let him bring in his own guys and replace), because said assistants didn't understand the incredibly complex spread offense. Which Tuberville should have known they wouldn't, because they weren't the o-coordinator's guys.

rumor is leach is headed back to seattle for a second interview. Also rumored to be interested in auburn job.

I honestly can't wrap my head around the fact that they fired tuberville. After what a tremendous success they've been the last 10 years.

YAR!

That's pretty fucked up that you would steal my movie pitch, hotdog, and try to claim it as your own. Write your own material.

Also when referencing Ye Olde Curiosity Shop it should be noted that the most infuriating thing about this store is that they don't use stylistically consistent spelling with the word "Shop".

I'm currently working on a novel where Seattle comes under Zombie attack and the last colony of man exists in the center of Lake Union. I think we just found a captain.

Surely our multitude of wonderous Pirate stores provides a great incentive for Leach to come coach here. Does it not?

And what of his desires to escape the religious persecution his polygamist brethren suffered at the hands of Texas authorities? I think he's stockpiling pirate stuff because he thinks the monogamist mormons may be next.

You beat me to this post. I was working on something similar.

If he went to the Shoppe, no doubt he stopped here: http://www.piratesplunder.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=page.display&page_id=18&CFID=12864986&CFTOKEN=49452315

Also, it's important to make the disctinction, in the post Somali pirate era, that we are talking about cheeky, mischievous pirates and not the kind that hijacks super-tankers and takes them back to lawless pirate coves in the ungoverned Horn of Africa.
