Where else but America can one go up in front of a judge and literally state, "While I maintain my innocence in this matter, review of the facts and allegations contained in the complaint, along with discussion with my attorney, has led me to the conclusion that were this matter to go to trial there is a substantial likelihood that I would be found guilty. I therefore enter an Alford plea of guilty." (ie - I didn't do it but I'm pleading guilty to it). That is awesome. The alford plea may be my favorite part of the legal system.
